Usually, supporters and volunteers hear from their chosen charities during fundraisers or times of needs. White Fields, however, is changing that… much like the way they are changing the lives of so many boys it serves.
“This is a celebration to say thanks,” said Mautra Jones, Director of Development. “Five years ago, supporters and volunteers planted seeds of hope and today our boys are reaping the benefits of that. We want to showcase what we’ve done in this time.”
Officially, White Fields provides care for abused and neglected boys age 8 to 18 who are in permanent custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division.
In reality, they give these boys the opportunity to become productive citizens by learning life tools to help them on their paths. “We restore the normalcy that has been lost in their lives,” said Mautra.
White Fields is hosting a Harvest Celebration for their supporters in a couple of weeks and asked ROBYN Promotions to help with the invitations. In complementing the theme of wheat growing and a harvest, ROBYN developed a branded bread mix in a reusable canister as part of the invitation. The ROBYN assembly team packed the canisters in boxes, attached an invitation, agenda for the evening and a copy of the Bible verse that appears at the entrance to White Fields.
Over 1200 of these packages were sent out this week to the unsuspecting supporters. “We’ve been keeping this pretty quiet,” said Mautra. “This is not a fundraiser… It’s a gift. There is absolutely no cost to our supporters as other people have donated what we need for our Harvest Celebration.”
What a fantastic way to say “Thank You.” We’re proud to have been a part of this celebration.
