Monday is going to be a big day on the campus of Oklahoma Christian University… and not just because classes begin. The 63-year-old school is inaugurating their seventh president, Dr. John deSteiguer, which calls for a weeklong celebration that includes breakfast, brunch, lunch and tea… a Ping-Pong tournament… a concert… and M&Ms!
“Dr. deSteiguer is a real ‘people person’,” said Wes McKinzie, Director of Editorial Services at OC. “He’s very involved with the student body… And he loves Peanut M&M’s!”
While the administrative team at OC worked with ROBYN to design these cool apothecary jars filled with Peanut M&M’s as commemorative gifts for the staff and faculty, there are also dishes of the delicious candies scattered throughout the offices and lobby. “There’s a lot of energy on campus right now,” said Wes. And rightly so!
With over 60 degree programs plus 30 additional fields of study and four graduate programs, Oklahoma Christian University is in the process of becoming a NCAA Division II member. While it takes three years to get through the process, OC will be competing this year in the Heartland Conference.
OC has been recognized by the Princeton Review and US News and World Reports for academic excellence and has experienced its highest enrollments the last six years in a row. “Dr. deSteiguer has played a big role in the growth and development of OC for many years now,” says Wes.
Anyone who celebrates with Peanut M&M’s is solid in our book. Here’s to your continued success!
