It’s that time of year… Fresh cut grass, warm summer evenings and the crack of a bat that instantly catches everyone's attention.
Baseball. America’s national pastime.
Next week, May 23-27, the 2012 Big 12 Baseball Championship Tournament will be played at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. Held here for 13 of the last 15 years, it has become an OKC tradition… And the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau has embraced it whole-heartedly!
“We’re really excited to host this event,” said Elisa Milbourne, Communications Manager, “and so are the local businesses!”
Working with the Oklahoma City All Sports Association, the Bricktown Association and the OKC Redhawks baseball team, the OKC CVB is helping businesses in the area welcome fans and teams to the city. “We’re working with the host hotels and businesses throughout Bricktown to help make our guests feel welcome,” said Elisa.
The OKC CVB worked with ROBYN to create limited edition buttons for employees of nearby businesses to wear as well as thousands of coasters that local restaurants will be using to help promote the tournament.
“What’s really great is that we were able to print a different, but related, message on the other side,” said Elisa. The 2012 Women's College World Series starts May 31st at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
The next couple of weeks are going to be an exciting time in Oklahoma City, so break out the peanuts and Cracker Jacks… You will definitely want to come back!
ROBYN Promotions was thrilled to sponsor last week’s AMA OKC luncheon with Ann Handley from MarketingProfsclick here. She spoke about engaging your customers by creating killer content. Of course, she knows a thing or two about this as she wrote the book on it! We’d love to give you a copy, too. Just click here to claim yours!
